Reports To: Middle School Athletic Coordinator and Principal

Location: Central Middle, Eastern Middle or Northern Hills Middle

Schedule: Season begins October 28, 2024 through December 12, 2024. Practice takes place Monday through Thursday, 7-9pm.  

Salary: As described in the supplemental contract of the Master Agreement between the Board of Education, Forest Hills Public Schools, and Forest Hills NEA-MEA District Association.

 

Job Summary: To help each participating student achieve a level of skill, appreciation for the values of discipline, sportsmanship, school spirit, pride and an increased level of self-esteem. The Assistant Swim Coach assists the Head Coach by motivating athletes, instructing athletes in strategies and techniques, and supporting practice sessions.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a quiet or noisy environment). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust/focus.

 

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. Work may be performed indoors and/or outdoors. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of students.

 

Mental Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.

 

Evaluation:
Annually by either the athletic coordinator and/or principal.

 

Terms of Employment:

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. Seasonal position.
