Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Instructional Coach (K-4)

Reports To: Director of Instructional Services 

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

 

Job Summary: The MTSS Instructional Coach works under the direction of the Director of Instructional Services and is assigned to support one elementary school in actualizing the district’s mission, vision, and values through the continuous improvement process. The MTSS Instructional Coach provides knowledge, expertise, guidance, and support to building-level administrators, counselors, teachers, and paraprofessional staff through coaching, professional learning, collaboration, and resource connection through the districtwide integration of the MTSS framework. The essential components of the MTSS framework guide the work of the MTSS Instructional Coach:

Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

 

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a quiet or noisy environment). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust/focus. Work Environment: 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. Work may be performed indoors and/or outdoors. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of students.

 

Mental Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
