Receives Guidance From: Building Principal/Supervisor of Special Education

Pay Grade: Grade 3, Step 1, $16.19 per hour

Schedule: 29.5 hours per week / School Year Position 

 

Job Summary: The Testing Center Coordinator is responsible for managing the testing center, specifically supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. This role involves coordinating accommodations, tracking their use, and ensuring all testing protocols are met. Additionally, this position assists with school-wide testing administration and provides instructional support to students in alignment with our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree required
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure that all IEP and 504 testing accommodations are accurately provided for students.
  • Create and maintain a tracking system to document the accommodations used by students, aligning with individual IEP and 504 plans.
  • Coordinate with teachers, case managers, and support staff to confirm student schedules, testing accommodations, and required documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of standardized school-wide assessments, including PSAT, MAP, WIDA and M-STEP.
  • Organize and oversee testing materials and ensure readiness of the testing center.
  • Provide instructional support to students or small groups, as part of MTSS, to promote academic growth.
  • Communicate with families regarding student testing accommodations, as needed.
  • Collaborate with professional staff to continuously enhance and improve testing processes and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to testing and accommodations.
  • Support school wide initiatives related to MTSS.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear in a standard school environment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work may be performed indoors and/or outdoors. The Testing Center Coordinator is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.

 

Mental Functions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.

In accordance with the Administrative Support Staff Agreement
